Whether you are an experienced modeler or new to r/c submarining, your project is off to a great start with the selection of a ThorDesign USS Permit class hull kit. The following instructions are designed to guide you step-by-step through the assembly process from opening the kit to your first patrol. Use the menu at left to access each set of subassembly instructions. Follow the "next" links at the bottom of each page until you finish the section. Upon completion you will have a fully operational radio controlled model submarine!
 
First launched in 1962, the SSN-594 Permit class were the world’s first modern, quiet, deep-diving fast attack submarines, integrating a hydro-dynamically shaped hull, bow mounted sonar array and advanced silencing features. Permits established the design pattern of all successive American attack submarine classes. This kit accurately duplicates the sleek lines of the original. It’s size and simplicity make it an ideal first kit for new r/c sub modelers.
